Since I have a regular 9-5 job, I obviously spend my days fantasizing about my future travels. If I could log how many hours I spend on Pinterest, it would be an abhorrent number. I am actually going to be travelling to a place from my Travel Bucket List Series: Part One post, Ottawa! I am beyond excited to visit the capital of my home! Well, from my hours on Pinterest lurking, here are the next cities that are on my bucket list!
The Maldives, South Asia
I am just as obsessed with this destination as anyone would be. The beauty, the seclusion, the luxe!!!! When I picture paradise, this is exactly what I picture. Specifically, I would love to go to the Four Seasons above-water villas as seen in these photos, however I would be lucky to stay anywhere in the Maldives!
Cape Town, South Africa
I am in love with South Africa. The accents, the people, the beauty! South Africa has so much to offer and I have not heard of one person going there and hating it. South Africa has been a dream destination for as long as I can remember (if I’m being completely honest, since Blood Diamond came out). I hope one day to do a Safari tour of Africa that includes Cape Town as a “rest” stop.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
What’s not to love about Halifax? A quaint, charming, yet populous city with just under half a million people. I have been drawn to it since learning that Halifax has a graveyard and memorial for those who lost their lives when the Titanic went down in 1912. When the ship sank, two Cable ships from Halifax went out in search of survivors and recover hundreds of bodies, half of who remained unclaimed. This city, rich with history, is a must see.
Los Angeles, California
Los Angeles is arguably the entertainment capital of the world. The hustle and bustle of a major city, the laid-back vibe of a small beach town. ELLEN DEGENERES. I mean, no trip to LA would ever be complete without snagging some tickets to a taping of her show! Also… Disneyland is just a short drive away… need I say more?
The most romantic (arguably) in the world! The culture, the food, the language, what’s not to love! I took French classes from Grade 1 up until Grade 11 when my high school stopped offering the class. I am still obsessed with the language as it can be beautifully spoken and since I know the basics, it’s not that hard to grasp! This would definitely be a trip I would want to go on with a partner and I hope to see it in the very near future!
Let me know in the comments where you’d like to go!
