I have a bad travel bug. I am always looking to go somewhere new and exciting, however, I have a regular 9-5 job like everyone else and I am not looking to quit anytime soon. I envy the people who save up money and quit their jobs to travel the world, but I am not one of those people. So, I came up with a few ways to squash the travel bug without actually traveling.
Ever since buying a nebulizer from Saje Wellness a few months ago, I have been hooked. Now, I know that name sounds intimidating, but it really isn’t at all. A nebulizer simply diffuses essential oil into the air via water vapour. According to Saje’s website, nebulizers reduce dust and other common allergens from the air. Their nebulizers use an ultrasonic, heat-free system to diffuse the essential oil atoms into the air along with negatively-charged ions. The system is totally safe – it does not use any heat and turns off automatically when the water level gets too low.
The weekend is the perfect time to sit back, relax, and take in a few movies. Going out to the movies is fantastic, however nothing beats sitting at home in bed or on the couch, a short distance from the fridge, with Netflix. Here are my top 5 movie recommendations to watch this weekend on Netflix.
This is more of a personal post, but I still hope you all can learn from my experiences and my mistakes. When I was born, my parents set up a savings account that they would put money into over the years as a way to ensure that I would have some money if I ever needed it. Being 18 and naive, I stupidly decided that I needed the money right then and there and proceeded to blow almost all of that money over the course of a year. To be fair, I did not have a job this year because I was away at university, but thinking back to all the dumb things I spent money on, namely clothes, I want to kick myself.
Mornings are, arguably, the most important part of your day. Depending on how you start your morning, your day is either going to take on a positive or negative tone. Here are 5 ways to ensure that you start your day off positively!
1. Drink water.
Drinking a glass of water should be the first thing you do when you get out of bed. This ensures that the first thing you are putting into your body is beneficial. Your body is dehydrated from your sleep so drinking a glass of water is a great way to get your system running again. So before you group that cup of coffee, drink that glass of water.
If only for the first 2 minutes that you wake up, lay with your thoughts. Think about what you have to do for the day or what you dreamt of the night before, it doesn’t matter, just let your mind wander. Taking these 2 minutes to reflect awakens the mind.
I’m a big believer in morning showers, they wash away everything from the day before (both literally and metaphorically). Showering invigorates your body and really wakes you up. Having a shower in the morning ensures you are beginning your day as fresh as possible.
Eating in the morning fuels your body for the rest of the day. If you’re like me and can’t stomach eating food as soon as you wake up, make a smoothie and drink it on the go or even when you get to work. Just eat something.
Before you leave the house for the day, look in the mirror and smile. I promise you, it will allow you to begin your day more positively.
