Happy Halloween everyone! I am so happy that I did this tour because it gives me something to write about in honour of Halloween! I’m also glad I did it because it was really cool and fun and is something I would definitely recommend if you are in Ottawa.
Pescara. Is. Stunning.
That statement is about as clear as I can get. Pescara’s beaches are a slice of heaven; a step away from the bustle of the city. This was by far our favourite destination on the trip, largely due to the fact that this is where I was visiting family I had not seen in years and that it was nice break from the days of constant walking and go-go-go. We had 3 days of rest and relaxation that was much needed in order to charge our batteries for the days we had ahead of us in Rome.
When I was in Ottawa, one of the things that was suggested to me was to take a cruise down the Ottawa River. At first, I was wondering if it was worth the time and money to just go down and back up the river, but I am so glad that I did.
On the Labour Day long-weekend me and my sister travelled to Ottawa to learn a little more about our country and also to have fun! Well when conjuring up some things to do in a simple Google search, I came across a place that most definitely caught my eye – Escape Manor. Escape Manor is essentially a situation-based game where you and your teammates are “locked” in a room for 45 minutes and have to find and figure out multiple clues in order to get out. I put quotations around locked because you aren’t in fact locked in there; you have the option of leaving to go to the bathroom or any other reason. However, the only way to successfully “escape” the game is to use the key found in the room through a series of clues and use that to unlock the door. You have the opportunity to ask for help once via walkie-talkie; any other requests for help beyond the first time results in a failure to escape. After the 45 minutes is up, this also results in a failure to escape.
