Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the release of Taylor’s 1989 and the record is still KILLING it. 1989 is the fifth album EVER to spend the entire year in the Billboard 200’s Top 10. This album was a major turning point for Taylor musically as it marked her first FULL album in pop music and it certified and solidified her as a major pop-star. 1989 was everything that her fans were expecting and more. She took her songwriting abilities and her musicality and her vocals to an entirely different level and I think she was able to reach out to a larger audience through this record.
OK GUYS. Please please please if you are to do anything or listen to anything this Music Monday, it should most definitely be to Ryan Adams’ cover of Taylor Swift’s ENTIRE 1989 album. Every single song. I. Am. Dying. His voice is so soothing and it takes Taylor’s already amazing songs and puts them in a whole different level and genre. There is a haunting indie vibe in all of the songs and they resonate so nicely in my soul that I can’t express enough my desire for you guys to all listen to the songs.
You should have known that since I am OBSESSED with the queen that is Taylor Swift that today I would be featuring her new music video for Wildest Dreams.
HOW GREAT IS THIS. SO GREAT.
So bad-ass Taylor Swift kills it again. Her music videos are always on point and they’re always visually stunning. Girl is a genius. I can’t even continue with this post because I’m going to go watch this video on replay 5ever. BYE.
