I flew out of Detroit (3+ hours away from where I live, but come on, I saved myself like $300) and as it goes, the cheapest way to get from Detroit to Vegas and back is with Spirit Airlines. Spirit is notorious not only for their cancelled flights and sub-par customer service, but also their abhorrent baggage fees. HOWEVER, I digress because this airline is an ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC) which means that they offer the bare bones of flying in order to pass on the savings to us consumers – hence why flying out of Toronto or Buffalo with airlines such as Air Canada or United were basically double the price.

The inside is modeled to look as if the Eiffel Tower was built right into the casino, complete with a sky mural painted on the ceiling. From the day we got there to the day we left, the casino and adjacent restaurants were bustling with people.
