I am jumping back onto the travel blog posts and thought I would share how me and my friends spent our 3 nights in Venice.
This post has been a long time coming. I struggle to write this post because as much as I can recall the events of what happened that day, there is really so much that went on that it is extremely hard to put into a blog post. Just a little disclaimer: this post is one of the longest I think I have written so far.
Like most of you reading this, I too am new to meditation. I have been meditating now for 1 year (off and on) and still consider myself new to the practice. I find it continuously hard to take time out of my day to meditate which is why I started the New Year, New Mind Meditation Challenge. I want to make meditating a part of my daily routine in order to better my mind. Meditating isn’t easy for anyone as it’s difficult to clear the mind, so I thought I would share some tips as to how I get into the meditation mindset. We are on day 11 which means you should be meditating for a total of 5 and a half minutes today!
I debated and delayed writing this post as I didn’t want to fall into the cliche of stating resolutions for the new year. However, I came to quickly realize that I shouldn’t be ashamed or worried about what other people think. This post is to cleanse my own soul and if others happen to resonate with it then great, and if they don’t that’s great too.
The truth is, a new year is a blank slate. If January 1st can bring the start of the new calendar year, why can’t it also bring the start of a new year for yourself? 366 days to do better, to see new places, to meet new people.
