Ok so I’m just going to come out and say it – I LOVE J. Biebs. Honestly, you can hate on him all you want, but kid can SING. His songs are always catchy and they always seem to have a deeper meaning. He went through a lot of stuff in the spotlight, but come on, as if we didn’t do half the things he has done.

On the Labour Day long-weekend me and my sister travelled to Ottawa to learn a little more about our country and also to have fun! Well when conjuring up some things to do in a simple Google search, I came across a place that most definitely caught my eye – Escape Manor. Escape Manor is essentially a situation-based game where you and your teammates are “locked” in a room for 45 minutes and have to find and figure out multiple clues in order to get out. I put quotations around locked because you aren’t in fact locked in there; you have the option of leaving to go to the bathroom or any other reason. However, the only way to successfully “escape” the game is to use the key found in the room through a series of clues and use that to unlock the door. You have the opportunity to ask for help once via walkie-talkie; any other requests for help beyond the first time results in a failure to escape. After the 45 minutes is up, this also results in a failure to escape.
OK GUYS. Please please please if you are to do anything or listen to anything this Music Monday, it should most definitely be to Ryan Adams’ cover of Taylor Swift’s ENTIRE 1989 album. Every single song. I. Am. Dying. His voice is so soothing and it takes Taylor’s already amazing songs and puts them in a whole different level and genre. There is a haunting indie vibe in all of the songs and they resonate so nicely in my soul that I can’t express enough my desire for you guys to all listen to the songs.
The last weekend in August is always my favourite weekend of the summer because it’s THE PEACH FESTIVAL. Every year, Hamilton (or if you want to get specific, Stoney Creek) hosts a festival that is entered around the most delicious fruit that comes into season around that time – peaches! This year marked the 48th year of the peach festival, having been around since 1967.
